SPEARFISH - Improvements to the Interstate 90 Exit 14 interchange, also known as 27th Street, will begin Friday, Aug. 24.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained as much as possible during working hours, from about 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, some of the work will require single-lane situations. Expect 10-minute delays.
Improvements include shoulder widening, asphalt resurfacing, minor bridge modifications and new signal systems and pavement markings on 27th Street and Colorado Boulevard.
Work is expected to be completed in November.
Hills Materials of Rapid City is the contractor on the $1.1 million project.
