Friday, July 3
- Floyd Fitzgerald Stadium, Canyon Lake Drive, after the Post
22-Coon Rapids, Minn., baseball game
- Mount Rushmore National Memorial: Amphitheater program at 7
p.m., fireworks over mountain carving about 9:20 p.m.
- Belle Fourche: Roundup grounds, dusk, after rodeo
Saturday, July 4
- Arrowhead County Club, Sheridan Lake Road, at dusk, after games
and activities for children and members.
- Black Hills Speedway, Jolly Lane-Highway 44, after racing,
about 10-10:30 p.m.
- Memorial Park, downtown, at dusk, after Black Hills Heritage
Festival events
- Custer: Pageant Hill, dusk (donations help the Custer Volunteer
Fire Department), after Old-Time Country Fair activities
downtown.
- Hot Springs: Dusk, from city landfill, with viewing and music
at Pamida parking lot along Highway 18, following games and
activities throughout downtown.
- Lead: Downtown, Dusk, after Gold Camp Jubilee games and
activities.
- Newcastle, Wyo.: Dusk, Weston County Fairgrounds.
- Sturgis: Dusk, Sturgis Fairgrounds, Ballpark Road.
Sunday, July 5
- Elks Lodge, Jolly Lane, at dusk, after games and activities,
which begin at 1 p.m.
July 4 parade schedule
- Belle Fourche: 10 a.m., downtown business district route.
- Deadwood-Lead: Gold Camp Jubilee Days parades, 3 p.m. on
Deadwood's Historic Main Street, 4 p.m. Lead Main Street.
- Hot Springs, 10 a.m., downtown parade route
- Piedmont: The annual parade begins at 10 a.m. at Piedmont
American Legion and ends at the Piedmont City Park. There will be
games, food, car show and a silent auction sponsored by the
Piedmont Public Library at the park after the parade.
- Spearfish: The traditional parade route for the Spearfish
Independence Day parade, set to start at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 4,
will change from Main Street to Fifth Street because of street
reconstruction work downtown. The parade will begin at Black Hills
State University's Young Center and will travel to Jackson
Boulevard, then turn south of Fifth Street and head to the
Spearfish City Park. An ice cream social and live music will follow
the parade at the park's band shell.
