Rapid City Regional Airport officials on Friday offered tips to
reduce hassles during summer travel:
- Passengers should check in at least 11/2 hours before their
scheduled departure. Remember that ticket counters close 30 minutes
before departures.
- Pack necessary clothes and toiletries in carry-on luggage in
case checked luggage is delayed.
- To expedite passage through the security checkpoint, follow
Transportation Security Administration guidelines regarding
prohibited items. Go to www.tsa.gov for details.
- Be prepared to remove your shoes, metal from your pockets and
your laptop computer from its bag.
- Skycap service is available to carry luggage to the ticket
counter at departure and bring your luggage to curbside on
arrival.
- Twenty-minute free parking is available in the short-term
parking lots.
- A new card exit lane in the parking lot will reduce waiting
time when leaving.
