'My House is Worth What?' is coming to Rapid City.

The makers of HGTV's "My House Is Worth What?' are scheduled to be coming to Rapid City later this year.

Jessica Lee, a segment producer for the popular Home & Garden Television cable network series, said the show is looking for qualified homeowners to feature on the program. The show generally visits homeowners from throughout the United States and estimates how to maximize a home's selling power on the market.

According to Lee, there will be a Nov. 10 deadline for area residents to let the show's producers know that they want to be on the show. The show is seeking homeowners and Realtors from the area.

In an e-mail, Lee outlined some questions that homeowners should ask themselves to determine whether they want to be on the show. Those questions include:

- Are you a homeowner within 30 minutes of Rapid City?

- Are you looking for a professional evaluation of your home's market value (comparing original purchase price with any renovations made to come up with a current sales price)?

- Thinking of moving? Downsizing or even upgrading into a new home?

- Want to know what a recent upgrade or renovation has done to your overall home's value?

- Want to take advantage of the equity in your home for a vacation around the world, your child's college or wedding? Tell them your story.

- Are you at least 18 years old and able to submit a picture of yourself and home? They will ask that you and your family make a video tour of your home, showing off the house and the projects you have done - or the projects you want to do if it's worth the money!

Area Realtors are also encouraged to apply and should answer the following questions:

- Are you a Realtor working in Rapid City?

- Are you able to assess a property on site, give price evaluations, explain how certain renovations add or decrease value in a home?

- We are looking for overall experts in their field for potential homeowners looking to sell, about to renovate or to pull out the equity of their current home.
