RAPID CITY - A trial date has been set in the case of a Rapid City man charged with having sex with a young girl.

Kasey Onken, 34, will go to trial Dec. 20 and 21 on five counts of criminal pedophilia. Each count carries a maximum of life in prison.

To each of those five counts, Onken is charged with an alternate count of sexual contact with someone younger than 16, each carrying a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.

He is accused of having sex with a young girl between August 2004 and November 2004.

Onken appeared before 7th Circuit Judge Jack Delaney on Monday for the trial date to be set. Onken remains free on a $50,000 bond.
