It's movie time on The Fives.

With the primary season coming to a close and torrential spring rains seemingly slowing a bit, it has opened up the video channels a bit for important topics such as Brittany Spears' new child visitation agreement and the U.S. Rock Paper Scissors Championships in Las Vegas.

Despite that, there are a number of interesting videos this week. Here's a few of my favorites.

Abandoned Pets From Iowa Floods Brought to D.C.

I'm not saying cats are ungrateful. I mean, as much as they tend to hate water, I'm sure they're downright jubilant that they were pulled from the raging floodwaters that has turned Iowa into one big wading pool.

That being said, why is it that throughout this video all the dogs look so happy and the cats look, er… well, not so happy?

George Carlin: In His Own Words

It's more than a decade old, but this Associated Press interview with comedian George Carlin, who died Sunday at age 71, is at times poignant and revealing, as well as a little funny. At least the ending.

Imagine that.

Presidential Trivia

In honor of the upcoming City of Presidents festival this weekend in Rapid City, videographer Tim Appel hit the bricks to shoot some of the bronze sculptures that adorn downtown street corners.

On top of that, he sprinkled a thin layer of presidential trivia. See how fast (and if) you can identify the bronzes.

A little cheesy? Yes, because it was my idea. Educational? Well, more than the next video.

Toilets Go High-tech in Japan

Really? Is this where technology is taking us.

Ok, ok, there are some interesting developments in these commodes, such as the tools that analyze your health. But do we really need toilets whose seats automatically rise when you approach.

At least it would give me an excuse to the Mrs. about leaving the toilet seat up.

Imus Says Latest Comment Flap Ridiculous

Let me be the first to say: It sure is nice to have controversy not related to the presidential race. And who better to spark the controversy than Don Imus.

I don't know how it will turn out, and that's why even those who don't follow the shock jock closely (I used to listen to him on my way into work before he got fired by CBS radio, but haven't listened or watched him since) are tuning back into see what will hapen.
