Sturgis Elementary School principal Norman Graham has been named a 2008 National Distinguished Principal.

The National Association of Elementary School Principals and the U.S. Department of Education will honor him and 61 other elementary and middle school principals from schools across the nation and abroad.

The Oct. 17 awards banquet will be at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., as part of a two-day program.
