U.S. Sen. John Thune, R-.S.D., and John Gibson, assistant secretary of the Air Force Financial Management and Comptroller, will tour Ellsworth Air Force Base's newest mission, the Air Force Financial Service Center, at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
This is Gibson's first visit to Ellsworth; he is newly appointed to this position, according to a news release. The visit will examine the status of the financial service center, its capabilities as it absorbs more of the financial functions normally conducted at individual bases, what the center means for the community, and the Airmen who make up the financial service center itself.
