Police aren't releasing the name of a man who was struck and killed near the intersection of East Omaha and Cambell streets late Friday.
Lt. James Johns of the Rapid City Police Department said that just before midnight Friday, the police responded to a car-pedestrian crash near the intersection.
"At this time, it appears a subject who was in the roadway was struck by a westbound car, driven by a 17-year-old juvenile," Johns said.
He said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will be released after his family has been notified.
The crash remains under investigation by the Rapid City Police Department's Critical Accident Reconstruction Team.
