Two of 19 establishments failed an alcohol compliance check Thursday, the Rapid City Police Department said.

According to a news release by Detective Sgt. Peter Ragnone, employees of Pizza Hut, at 2005 Mount Rushmore Road, and SuperPumper, at 3275 S. Highway 79, sold alcohol to underage police informants.

Pizza Hut employee Trina Yung, 29, of Rapid City, and SuperPumper employee Fredrick Salaberry, 39, also of Rapid City, were issued court appearance citations and released.

Furnishing alcohol to a minor is a Class 2 misdemeanor punishable by 30 days in jail, a $500 fine or both.

Since Jan. 1, a total of 16 alcohol establishments have failed alcohol compliance checks by selling to underage police informants.

In the most recent check, the following establishments were in compliance, according to the news release:

Picasso Barn Pizzeria, 325 Omaha St. No. 6; Hotel Alex Johnson, 523 Sixth St.; Hookah Lounge, 725 St. Joseph St.; Rushmore Casino, 1808 Mount Rushmore Road; Casa Real, 2315 1/2 Mount Rushmore Road; Toby's Casino South, 710 Cleveland St.; Rushmore Sinclair, 2420 Mount Rushmore Road; Happy Jacks, 909 St. Patrick St.; Lucky D's Casino, 1330 E. St. Patrick St.; Family Thrift Liquors, 1516 E. St. Patrick St.; Happy Jacks Casino, 1601 Cambell St.; Pot-O-Gold Casino, 1300 Centre St.; Godfather's Pizza, 110 Cambell St.; The Great Wall, 315 E. North St.; Dean O's Casino, 903 E. North St.; Golden Fortune, 1204 E. North St.; LaCrosse Street Casino, 720 N. La Crosse St.

When contacted by the Rapid City Journal on Friday evening, the manager of Ifrits Hookah Lounge confirmed that they were visited by police for the alcohol compliance check but said they do not sell alcohol at their establishment.
