RAPID CITY - A trial date has been set for Nov. 27 in the case of a Rapid City man charged with shoving his ex-girlfriend out of his car and running her over.
Brandon Harris, 27, is charged with alternate counts of attempted murder and aggravated assault. He was arrested in September.
Authorities said Harris smashed into a tree when he attempted to run the woman over a second time.
The woman was not seriously hurt.
7th Circuit Judge Merton B. Tice set the trial date and will preside over it.
Harris faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison on the aggravated assault charge and up to 25 years in prison on the attempted murder charge. Because they are alternate counts, Harris cannot be convicted of both.
Harris remains in custody at Pennington County Jail.
