A Box Elder couple is reportedly staying with other family members after a Wednesday evening fire heavily damaged their home.
The Black Hills Area Chapter of the American Red Cross said the fire started in the couple's garage, spread to the home and "left the residential couple out in the rain."
Spokeswoman Betsy Mergenthal said the relief agency is assisting the couple, whom the release did not identify, with food and clothing.
Box Elder Volunteer Fire Department officials did not return Journal calls seeking details about the fire.
To help the family and the local Red Cross aid efforts, call 342-4010.
