Volunteers are needed Saturday, Sept. 29, for a cleanup project at Fort Meade Recreation Area in conjunction with the 14th annual National Public Lands Day.
The project includes cleanup along the Sturgis Bike Path and Bear Butte Creek. In return for helping, volunteers will get lunch, T-shirts and coupons good for free admission to several fee-charging sites on public lands.
Those interested in volunteering should gather at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot near the statue of Colonel Sturgis at Sturgis City Park.
