The Black Hills State University Foundation has been awarded a $750,000 grant to establish the South Dakota Women's Business Center.
The funding, which comes from the U.S. Small Business Administration, is provided to economic development organizations that directly assist entrepreneurs in South Dakota with special emphasis on women.
The South Dakota Women's Business Center will be part of a network of more than 75 centers nationwide providing management and technical assistance, comprehensive training and counseling on a vast array of topics to entrepreneurs. Black Hills State University was the only South Dakota organization awarded funding to establish a Women's Business Center in the state.
