RAPID CITY - Thelma Thiel, founder, chairman and chief executive of the Hepatitis Foundation International, will promote liver health with two free training sessions in Rapid City on Thursday, Sept. 27.
A registered nurse known as "The Liver Lady," Thiel's visit is sponsored by Adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention, Inc. Her "Foundation for Decision Making" sessions are designed as train-the-trainer programs for anyone interested in liver health.
The training sessions are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in the LaCroix A Room. Continuing education credits are available.
