Nobel Prize-winner Linda Joyce and Sam Foster, the new director of the Rocky Mountain Research Station, will talk about the impact of climate change on forests at the next meeting of the Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Rapid City.
Both scientists will talk about the role of Forest Service research in understanding climate change and implications of climate change on forest management in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming and elsewhere, according to a news release from Black Hills National Forest headquarters.
The meeting is open to the public.
Joyce and Foster will make their presentations at 1 p.m. in the theater of The Journey Museum, 222 New York St. Seating will be first-come, first-served, with priority going to board members. There will be seating for 144 people.
