BROOKINGS - A trip to a Brookings car wash brought unintended consequences for a 20-year-old Rapid City man.
Police got a call Wednesday night about a truck stuck in the car wash. The Rapid City man apparently had driven his truck with an attached 16-foot trailer into the automatic car wash - but he could not drive it forward and didn't have enough room to back it out the front.
Police Detective Brett Spencer said police then discovered the unidentified man had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Custer County and a felony warrant from Texas.
His vehicle and trailer were removed from the car wash and impounded, and the man was held at the Brookings jail for extradition.
