She conducts pet obedience classes, publishes the group's Waggin' Tales newsletter, is webmaster for its Web site and for two years has been chairwoman of the local dog show.
She also is working with the Rapid City Convention & Visitor's Bureau to attract national dog shows and companion events to the area, helping the local economy and raising awareness about purebred dogs
One might ask: What would the Rapid City Kennel Club do without Tracie Crawford?
For her many contributions, the club has awarded Crawford the American Kennel Club Outstanding Sportsmanship Award. The yearly honor is reserved for those who advocate for purebred dogs, embody the AKC Code of Sportsmanship and have been an active and valued AKC club member.
