The Rapid City Club for Boys is selling fresh-cut Christmas trees starting Friday, Nov. 23, through Christmas Eve. Tree sales are held daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Club for Boys tree lot, 320 N. Fourth St., and at a new tree lot at Rushmore Mall.

Trees are also available at Rapid City Safeway, Family Thrift Center and Albertson's stores, and at Bob's Pharmacy in Spearfish.

Some of the club's 1,200 members will be available on weeknights and weekends to help customers find their perfect tree, which come in several varieties and start at $10 a tree.

"This is the Club for Boys' biggest fundraising event each year," special projects director Dave Oyler said.

"We greatly appreciate the support our community has shown us over the years, and we're very thankful so many people choose to get their tree at the Club."

Besides trees, the Club is selling tree boughs, fresh wreaths and potted trees.

Oyler said people can decorate a potted tree for the holidays and then plant it in the yard this spring.

The club is also looking for individuals willing to sponsor a tree through their Sponsor A Natural Tree Anonymously Program, called SANTA.

Tree sponsorships cost $25, and the club will make sure a Christmas tree is delivered to a needy family.

For more information on the SANTA Program, call Oyler at 343-3500.
