Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will perform a free concert for the Ellsworth Air Force Base community Feb. 1 at the base theater.

The concert is not open to the general public. Doors open at 4 p.m. The show is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., according to information provided by the Ellsworth public affairs office.

Sinise, a well-known actor, is the group's bass player. The jam/rock band plays quite a bit of cover material and enjoys performing for troops, according to the group's website. Lieutenant Dan" is the character played by Sinise in the 1994 movie "Forrest Gump."
