MADISON - U.S. Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D., who is pregnant with her first child, says her expected delivery date is Dec. 23.

The congresswoman and her husband, former U.S. Rep. Max Sandlin of Texas, are having a boy.

She says they've narrowed the choices for a name but did not divulge those choices.

Herseth Sandlin faces Republican challenger Chris Lien of Rapid City in her re-election bid.

Lien and his wife, Julie, have a 7-year-old daughter, Annie.
