All the road travel bans in western South Dakota have been lifted, according to the state Department of Public Safety at 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Boulder Canyon road between Sturgis and Deadwood, U.S. Highway 14A, remained closed to allow Department of Transportation crews to complete snow removal operations.
The highway should re-open sometime late afternoon or early evening, according to South Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Kevin Karley in Rapid City.
Meanwhile, portions of roads throughout western South Dakota remain icy and snow-packed. Motorists are reminded to travel with care.
