Citing significant growth in residential and business connections alike, Knology Inc. reported a 3.3 percent increase in revenue for the first quarter.
"We're off to a good start in 2009," Todd Holt, Knology president, said in a news release. "And we like our current position. Our operating performance is solid, and our balance sheet is in good shape."
The nationwide cable television, Internet and telephone service provider is one of two major telecommunication companies in the Black Hills area.
Officials at Knology's West Point, Ga., office said because of the quarterly gains, the company plans to expand its high-definition channel lineup and provide enhanced Video on Demand services in the coming months.
