Two men were arrested Tuesday night, and another is still on the run after authorities found 25 pounds of marijuana.

Julian Brown Eyes, 34, and Louis Potter, 18, both of Rapid City, were arrested after an investigation involving marijuana being delivered to and distributed in the Rapid City area, Sgt. Mark Hughes of the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team said.

Hughes said authorities also confiscated a semi-automatic handgun and approximately $10,000 in cash.

Authorities are still looking for Cody Lee Newitt, 20. Police ask anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the Rapid City Police Department at 394-4131.

Brown Eyes and Potter were arrested for possession with intent to distribute more than 10 pounds of marijuana. The crime carries up to 15 years in prison upon conviction.

Hughes said the 25 pounds of marijuana has an estimated street value of $23,000.

The narcotics team is a multi-agency drug task force comprising personnel from the state Division of Criminal Investigation, Rapid City Police Department, Pennington County Sheriff's Office, South Dakota National Guard, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
