GILLETTE, Wyo. - One person is dead from injuries they suffered in a vehicle accident caused by a flash flood carving a ravine in a road in Campbell County.
Capt. Roy Seeman of the Campbell County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 57-year-old Dillard Ronald Jeffress of Rozet.
Seeman says Jeffress was one of four people riding in a pickup truck that plunged into a deep ravine that flooding had created on Trail Creek Road on Tuesday night.
The four were coming back from checking on cattle near the Montana border when the truck plunged into a ravine that had formed on the roadway. Seeman says the ravine hadn't been there when the four used the same road on their trip out.
