STURGIS, S.D. - Ground will be broken Monday at Sturgis for a plant that will manufacture motorcycle parts.

Samson Motorcycle Parts, which is based in Brea, Calif., designs and manufactures motorcycle exhaust systems.

The 40,000-square-foot plant will be located in the Sturgis Industrial Park.

"With this development, the Sturgis area can look forward to good-paying industrial jobs in the near future," said Norma Allen, executive coordinator of the Sturgis Economic Development Corp.

Samson Chief Executive Kenny Price said the company places special emphasis on good worksmanship.

"Your customers, when it's all said and done, want a company that puts quality before quantity," he said.
