PIERRE, S.D. - South Dakota Attorney General Larry Long says the state will begin as early as Saturday to enforce a law that requires doctors to tell women seeking abortions that the procedure ends a human life.

A federal appeals court last month overturned a temporary order by a district judge who had prevented the 2005 law from taking effect while she makes a final decision in the case.

U.S. District Judge Karen Schreier of Rapid City has rejected another request to temporarily block the law from taking effect.

Planned Parenthood has challenged the law.
