RAPID CITY - A 38-year-old man has been indicted for the
stabbing death of a teenage boy Sunday on the Rosebud Indian
Reservation.
Bryan Clairmont's girlfriend told the FBI that a man later
identified as Melvin Smashed Ice stabbed Clairmont with a pocket
knife.
An autopsy found that Clairmont was stabbed in the neck and
heart.
According to the criminal complaint, Smashed Ice admitted that
after an altercation, he chased Clairmont, kicked his legs out from
under him and stabbed him three or four times, saying, "Don't mess
with me, you little gangster."
