PIERRE - South Dakota Secretary of State Chris Nelson says campaign finance reports are due Friday by 5 p.m. in his office.
Reports 10 days in advance of the Nov. 4 general election must be made by candidates, political parties, political action committees and ballot question committees.
County-level candidates must file their reports with county auditors.
All other reports are filed with Nelson's office.
The secretary of state reminds those responsible for filing campaign finance reports that the penalty for being late is $50 a day.
Voters can use the Internet to view all reports filed with the secretary of state at: www.sdsos.gov.
