PIERRE - The usual clunk of coins being dropped into a Salvation Army Christmas bucket in Pierre was a clink instead.
The clink turned out to be a gold wedding band.
Although it may have accidentally slipped off someone's finger, officials believe it was purposedly dropped into the bucket. The value of the ring has not been determined yet.
For the record, it was a large band and came from a man's finger.
The ring was discovered when the bucket was later opened to count donations.
