Authorities are investigating a shooting at Pine Ridge that occurred late Tuesday, according to the FBI.
Bob Perry, supervising senior agent with the FBI in Rapid City, confirmed there was a shooting, but declined to release any information on the incident other than to say no one was killed.
"This is still a very active investigation," Perry said.
Perry did say the shooting did not involve law enforcement officers, as was the case with two prior shootings this summer.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety and the FBI are conducting the investigation.
