Sen. John Thune said Monday he will hold town hall-style meetings in Aberdeen and Watertown.
Thune says the Aberdeen meeting is set for Thursday at the Northern State University Student Center. The Watertown meeting is scheduled for next Monday at the County Fair Banquet Hall.
In a release, the first-term Republican said South Dakotans are "especially engaged" on health care and what he described as "out-of-control" spending in Washington. Thune said the meetings will give people the chance to ask questions.
He says other meetings are being planned before the Senate reconvenes Sept. 8.
