A woman apparently stabbed a man several times in the back with a pair of scissors during an argument Monday afternoon between 4:30 and 5 p.m., police said.
The victim, whose injuries did not appear life threatening, fled an apartment at 710 Haines Avenue after he was stabbed, according to Sgt. Wayne Asscherick of the Rapid City Police Department.
Asscherick said the victim stepped into traffic looking for help. A carload of medical personnel happened to be passing by and came to his aid, Asscherick said.
The victim was taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital for treatment.
The male victim was apparently sharing an apartment with is attacker.
A domestic violence team is investigating the incident, Asscherick said.
