YANKTON - St. Thomas More will be looking to defend its title in the dance competition today as 26 schools battle at today's state cheer competition in Yankton.

It's the second year for state high school competition in cheer and dance. Seventeen schools were entered in competitive dance.

Last year's overall division champions in the cheer competition were Brandon Valley, Sioux Valley and Faulkton. Overall champions in the dance competition were Yankton and St. Thomas More.
