RAPID CITY - A Rapid City woman
was arrested Thursday and charged with the stabbing death of a
Rapid City man.
Chari Miranda, 20, was arrested
when police responded to a call of a stabbing shortly after 3 a.m.
Thursday in the 2500 block of Elm Avenue. Upon arriving, officers
found the body of 24-year-old Richard Standing Bear in the house
and Miranda and a weapon in another room.
Miranda is being held at
Pennington County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
Second-degree murder carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison
without parole upon conviction.
The death remains under
investigation.
