Chief Master Sgt. Jeffry D. Helm, the senior enlisted adviser from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, will tour Ellsworth Air Force Base next week.
The joint military command provides retail services and products to Air Force and Army personnel, reserves, their families and retirees.
The exchange service is the 41st largest retail company in the world, with annual revenue of $9.9 billion. It employs more than 43,000 civilians and provides department stores, convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, theaters, vending and other businesses on U.S. military installations in every state and in more than 30 countries. The earnings are returned to the military community in the form of various benefits, such as sports facilities and upgrades to base exchanges, including the operation at Ellsworth.
