RAPID CITY - Rushmore Plaza Civic Center officials have announced that Blue Man Group, a unique and colorful comedy and musical act, is scheduled to perform in concert April 17 in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center arena.

Ticket-sale announcements will follow at www.gotmine.com, according to a news release.

The Blue Man Group's critically acclaimed theatrical shows feature three "blue men" performing art and music with a focus on percussion.

As described on the Blue Man Group's tour Web site, www.howtobeamegastar.com, "How to Be a Megastar Tour 2.0" is a live rock show that takes the audience through a satirical workshop on how to create "the perfect rock concert experience."

The Rapid City show is still six months away, but fans can catch a televised performance of the Blue Man Group next week. They're set to perform live Tuesday, Oct. 9, on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," premiering the new single "Rock & Go."
