PIERRE - Lightning has struck twice - sort of - for Athena Rush of Watertown.
Rush was one of the "Watertown 34," composed mostly of employees of Minnesota Rubber in Watertown, who split a $50.9 million Powerball prize nearly five years ago. After taxes, each member of the group received $588,507.
Then on Saturday, Rush won a $200,000 Powerball prize by matching the five white balls. She missed on the red Powerball.
Rush, who retired about a year after hitting it big in 2003, says her feet still haven't touched the ground following her latest win.
She bought her ticket at the same store where the group bought its lucky ticket in 2003.
The Watertown 34 were the first Powerball winners in South Dakota.
