RAPID CITY - Tickets for a concert this fall by The White
Stripes at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center will go on sale Friday, June
15, at 10 a.m. The concert will be Oct. 2.
Touring in support of their new album, "Icky Thump," the
alternative music team of Jack and Meg White will mark their
10th year of performing this summer. The Grammy-winning
band from Detroit first rose to prominence during the garage rock
revival with their albums White Blood Cells and Elephant, but the
duo's music varies widely, incorporating blues, folk and country as
well as punk rock.

Cold War Kids are scheduled to be the opening band. Tickets
are $35.
