The blizzard that ripped through the Black Hills brought a pile of powder to area ski slopes.
Both Terry Peak and Mystic Miner at Deer Mountain informed skiers and snowboards that several feet of snow blanketed the slopes on Monday and Tuesday.
On its Web site, Terry Peak reports the slope received between 4-5 feet of snow in the last 24 hours.
Mystic Miner at Deer Mountain said through its Web site the slopes there received more than 3 feet of snow.
The blizzard did bring some bad news for those yearning to hit the fresh powder. Buffeted by weather conditions and road closures, Terry Peak was closed on Tuesday. The ski resort promised to update anxious skiers and snowboarders via its Web site regarding a Wednesday opening.
Mystic Miner is scheduled to open as usual on Friday.
