FORT PIERRE - A Fort Pierre woman could serve up to 15 years in prison for having sex with a 14-year-old boy.

Thirty-nine-year-old Andrea Herald pleaded guilty Monday in Stanley County court to one count of fourth-degree rape and is scheduled to be sentenced March 26.

In exchange for the plea, prosecutors in Stanley and Hughes counties dropped other rape counts and charges of giving alcohol and marijuana to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Authorities said all of the charges involved the same teen and occurred in both counties.

Herald said the relationship started May 28 and ended in mid-June.
