Dan Griebenow plans to be in Rapid City for Christmas
The former Rapid City man who was seriously wounded Sunday during the Colorado shootings has been moved out of intensive care and is scheduled to come to Rapid City next week, according to a friend.
Dan Griebenow, 24, underwent surgery Tuesday morning to remove a bullet from his neck.
Journal photographer Seth McConnell of Rapid City said he talked to Griebenow on Wednesday afternoon and that Griebenow said he will be home next week for Christmas.
Griebenow was shot at a Youth With a Mission facility in Arvada, Colo., where he was a staff member. Two staff members at the mission facility were killed, and another staff member was wounded in the attack.
