SIOUX FALLS - Tea and Sioux Falls are taking the Lincoln County Rural Water System to court to slow its expansion.
The lawsuit by Tea claims the water system is taking on too many new members without being able to provide enough water to its current customers, including Tea.
The Lincoln system buys water from the city of Sioux Falls, which says in its lawsuit that the rural water system is taking too much water. That puts extra stress on the Sioux Falls water supply during the current dry period, the lawsuit says.
The Lincoln County water system has a month to file its response to the lawsuits.
