ABERDEEN - A former Stratford city employee has been given a 30-day jail sentence for embezzling from the city.

When people paid their utility bills in cash, authorities say Deanna Taylor, 49, sometimes put the money in her pocket and marked the bills as paid.

Taylor, who now lives in Brandon, pleaded guilty to grand theft.
