HAYTI - The trial of an Estelline woman charged in the death of a child in Hamlin County has been delayed for two months.
Savanna Espinoza, 22, will go on trial Dec. 10 for the May 7 death of 4-year-old Alyana Moreno, the daughter of Espinoza's boyfriend.
The indictment against the woman alleges that she became angry with the child and caused head injuries by either throwing or knocking her off a chair on May 4.
Espinoza has pleaded not guilty to alternative counts of second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter.
