SIOUX FALLS - The South Dakota Board of Regents has approved new minors at three public universities.
Starting this fall, Dakota State University will offer a minor in computer forensics, a field that uses computer investigation and analysis techniques to gather potential legal evidence. Such specialists can find data in a computer system and recover deleted, encrypted or damaged files.
Starting next spring, South Dakota State University will offer a minor in leadership, which will be open to all students. During the coursework for the minor, students will develop interpersonal communication, group dynamics and teamwork skills, the regents said in a release.
Also, Northern State University will offer a geography minor, which will start this fall.
