REDFIELD - A
Redfield High School student has been suspended for having a pellet
pistol in a backpack.
A teacher
inadvertently discovered it when looking into an abandoned backpack
to determine its owner.
Superintendent
Randy Joyce said the gun was never displayed, and no threats were
made.
The county
prosecutor is trying to determine if the spring-activated pistol
meets the legal definition of a dangerous weapon.
