RAPID CITY - South Dakota School of Mines Lady Hardrocker senior Melanie Vedvei continues to earn the accolades during her final season as a Mines women's basketball player.

Not only has she moved into the No. 3 spot on the SD Mines women's all-time scoring list with 1,837 points, she has also earned the second consecutive Dakota Athletic Conference women's Basketball Player of the Week honor. It is also the second DAC POW awarded this season.

Vedvei scored 26 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, handed out seven assists and picked up seven steals in helping the Hardrockers to a pair of wins at the Hoop & Surf Tournament in Hawaii on Dec 19-20. In the two contests, she was 11-of-22 from the field, including one-of-five from 3-point range and connected on three-of-seven from the free throw line.
