ABERDEEN - Rapid Citians Jasmyne King and Christy Schultz continued their winning ways Saturday at Swisher Field in the USA Track & Field Dakotas Junior Olympics Championships.
King won the same four events in the girls intermediate division - 100, 200, 400 and long jump - that she won at the Class AA state track & field meet three weeks ago in Sioux Falls despite times and distances that showed a little summer vacation rust and possibly some fatigue due to warmer temperatures.
Schultz, who just finished her seventh-grade year at Rapid City Christian, won the girls youth division titles in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the long jump.
Custer's Karley Konkol won the girls youth division 800-meter run with a time of 2:36.96.
King topped Spearfish's Darian Thompson in the 400-meter dash. Parkston's Alex Muntefering won the young men's division 800- and 1,500-meter runs.
