VERMILLION - The University of South Dakota men's basketball team, which returns its starting five from last year's 23-7 club, has been chosen the nation's top Division II team in a preseason rating by Sporting News magazine.

The magazine named returning USD starter Dylan Grimsley to the preseason All-America second team and starter Eric Hall to the honorable mention squad.

Winona State, last year's Division II national runner-up, is the magazine's preseason No. 2 pick.
